Temper rolling allows adjustment of a defined strip surface roughness and texture, positively influences the material properties and improves strip flatness.Temper mills can be operated in dry or in wet mode according to the application.

BWG temper mills are designed in conformance with the most modern criteria.

Our patented dual stage roll force cylinder allows for a special big ratio between maximum and minimum roll force. Together with a renowned steel producer we have developed a special high-pressure roll cleaning system for cleaning of workrolls and backup rolls in wet operation. Our temper mills are often installed in combination with our Levelflex® tension levelers as Temper-Levelflex® machines to achieve optimal flatness results.
